Could Apple be Holding Off on Unveiling AI until the iPhone 16?

Apple’s Big Artificial Intelligence (AI) Reveal: Will it Happen in June or September?

Apple is gearing up to make a big artificial intelligence (AI) reveal, but when will it happen? Analysts at Bernstein Société Générale believe that Apple will wait until September when it launches the iPhone 16. The tech giant is holding its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, but the analysts expect most AI features to be unveiled with the iPhone in September.

According to Bernstein’s Toni Sacconaghi and Daniel Zhu, the latest iteration of the iPhone will offer features along the same lines as the latest smartphone models from Google and Samsung. Apple could also integrate AI into apps such as Apple Music, Pages, and Keynote. The company is developing its own LLM, code-named Ajax, but is also in talks with potential partners including Google, OpenAI, and Baidu about using external LLM.

At the yearly shareholder meeting in February, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that the company would soon provide more details about its strategy for using generative AI. Cook expressed confidence in the vast potential of generative AI for breakthroughs and transformative advancements for users.

Bloomberg News reported that Apple was in talks to add Google’s AI engine to the iPhone, a move that could shake up the artificial intelligence space. Michael Jaconi, CEO of Button, a marketing tech company, believes that Apple’s investment in AI for developer tools, app development, app content, and search could lead to significant advancements in the future.

With Apple’s focus on AI and the potential integration of Google’s AI engine into the iPhone, the tech giant is poised to make a significant impact in the artificial intelligence space. Stay tuned for more updates on Apple’s AI reveal in the coming months.
