Israel Launches Strike Against Iran in Retaliation for Missile-and-Drone Assault

Israel has launched a strike against Iran in retaliation for Tehran’s unprecedented missile-and-drone assault on the country over the weekend. Experts had previously speculated that Israel was considering an airstrike on critical Iranian infrastructure, including air bases and nuclear facilities. Israel’s military capabilities include 39 state-of-the-art F-35 stealth fighter jets, the fifth largest inventory in the world.
