Brainerd Warriors Sweep Sauk Rapids Storm in Central Lakes Conference Doubleheader

The Brainerd Warriors had an impressive showing in a Central Lakes Conference doubleheader against the Sauk Rapids Storm on Thursday, April 18. Maren Ceynowa led the charge, going 5-for-7 with three doubles, four runs, and two RBIs across both games.

In Game One, Mya Tautges pitched a five-inning no-hitter, striking out 12 batters and walking only one. She also contributed at the plate, going 3-3 with a triple as the Warriors secured an 11-0 victory. Joze Tautges and Elsa Borchert also had standout performances in Game One, with Joze recording three RBIs and Elsa going 2-4 with an RBI.

Game Two saw Borchert shine even brighter, finishing 3-3 with four RBIs, two doubles, and a home run. The Warriors scored nine runs in the first inning and ultimately clinched a 13-7 victory. Ruthie Owen, Jose Tautges, and Autumn Larson also made significant contributions, with Owen hitting a double, home run, and driving in four runs.

Joze Tautges earned the victory in the circle for Game Two, striking out 10 batters over seven innings and allowing four earned runs. The Warriors now boast a 3-0 conference record and remain undefeated at 7-0 overall.
