STL Cardinals and Rangers Game Recaps, High School Softball District Play, and Golf Tournament Updates

The STL Cardinals and the Rangers were the talk of the town yesterday as they both secured important victories in their respective games. The Cardinals wrapped up a series with the White Sox, while the Rangers won a nail-biter against the Royals in 10 innings.

Jon Gray led the way for the Rangers with a stellar performance on the mound, striking out seven and allowing only two runs over seven innings. Kirby Yates came in clutch in relief, earning his third win of the season. Nathaniel Lowe sealed the deal with a go-ahead run in the 10th inning.

In high school softball action, several district games were scheduled to take place, weather permitting. The Willow Springs Bears Golf Team also had a reason to celebrate as they clinched a district championship, with Brady Altermatt leading the way as medalist.

And for all the golf enthusiasts out there, mark your calendars for the 18th annual TCMH Health Care Foundation 2-person 18-hole golf scramble at the Houston Municipal Golf Course on June 8th. With a fee of $120 per team, including cart, greens fees, and lunch, it’s sure to be a fun-filled day on the course.
