Airdrie’s Regional Home & Lifestyle Show Returns to Genesis Place This Weekend
Airdrie Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Marilyne Aalhus is excited to announce the return of Airdrie’s Regional Home & Lifestyle Show this weekend. The show, which is the largest annual trade show in Airdrie, will take place on April 27 and 28 at Genesis Place.
With close to 200 exhibitors from Airdrie and surrounding areas showcasing their products and services, the event is a great way to support local businesses and community groups. Aalhus emphasized that attending the show is not only a cheap way to stay entertained on the weekend, but also a way to connect with the community and show support for one another.
The show will feature a variety of new faces, including businesses, community and non-profit groups, and makers and bakers. Aalhus highlighted the regional aspect of the show, with vendors coming from around the region to participate. Attendees can expect live performances, activities, and the chance to win prizes from vendors.
Some of the highlights of the show include performances by local groups like the Nose Creek players and Ambition Performing Arts, as well as the return of Allen the Alpaca. Families can enjoy entertainment for kids and fun activities among the vendors, including gaming from iGlitch! and the opportunity to see puppies.
Food trucks will be onsite, along with the Makers and Tasters Market showcasing various food options. The first 100 attendees each day will get in for free, and the first 250 attendees on both days will receive a free swag bag filled with goodies from sponsors.
After being canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Aalhus noted that the show has regained momentum and is now a sold-out event. The show, which has been a staple in the community for over 45 years, has evolved from an agriculture show to the home and lifestyle show it is today.
