Florence Baseball Picks Up 9-5 Victory Over Wausaukee at Red Johnson Field
The Florence varsity baseball team honored Leigh Johnson with a plaque unveiling before their game against Wausaukee at Red Johnson Field in Florence, Wis. The Bobcats went on to secure a 9-5 victory, improving their record to 10-5 on the season. Despite a slow start, Florence rallied in the fourth inning to tie the game at three. They took the lead in the sixth inning and never looked back, with Trent McLain and Matthew Smith leading the offensive charge. Pitcher William Kelley struck out four batters in 4.1 innings, while McLain closed out the game and earned the win.
