Former Prime Minister Imran Khan chooses prison over making deal to exploit Pakistan, says report

Imran Khan Vows to Serve in Prison Rather Than Strike Deal to Enslave Pakistan

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has made a bold statement, ruling out any agreement with those he believes have “enslaved” the country. In a message released on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party’s 28th Foundation Day, Khan declared that he is willing to serve nine more years in prison rather than strike a deal with those he sees as responsible for the country’s current state.

Khan criticized the “worst dictatorship” that he believes has led to the destruction of the economy, government rule, democracy, and judiciary in Pakistan. He called on every individual to play a role in preventing further decline.

The former cricketer-turned-politician has been behind bars for the past nine months due to what he calls “fake and concocted cases.” Despite facing multiple convictions and being held at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Khan remains steadfast in his refusal to compromise with those he believes have enslaved the nation.

Since his removal from power in April 2022, Khan’s party has faced a crackdown, with pressure in the form of arrests and desertions following violent incidents after his arrest last year. Despite this, Khan’s party has won more than 90 seats in the National Assembly in the recent general election.

Khan’s message comes amidst claims from PTI leaders that they will only engage in talks with military leadership for the country’s security and future, rejecting overtures from other political parties. The PTI remains determined to prioritize the nation’s freedom and will not entertain any deals or compromises.

As the political landscape in Pakistan continues to evolve, Imran Khan’s unwavering stance against those he believes have enslaved the nation sets the stage for a potentially tumultuous future in the country’s political arena.
