Struggling with the Decision: Long-Running Lifestyle Talk Show ‘Cityline’ Cancelled After 40 Years

Cityline, Citytv’s Long-Running Lifestyle Talk Show, Ending After 40 Years on Air

After 40 years on the air, Citytv’s beloved lifestyle talk show, Cityline, is coming to an end. Host Tracy Moore made the announcement on her Instagram page, expressing her own heartbreak over the news.

Cityline was known for discussing the latest lifestyle trends and offering expert advice on fashion, cooking, and home decor. Moore, who has been the host since 2008, will be moving on to host a new lifestyle show as part of an expansion of Breakfast Television starting in September.

Citytv has expressed excitement about evolving the format with a new one-hour live national lifestyle show featuring Tracy Moore. The network thanked the Cityline team and guest experts for their dedication over the years.

While Citytv did not provide information on the job status of other Cityline staff, Moore expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to build on Cityline’s legacy and evolve the platform. The show will continue with new episodes until May 3, followed by encore episodes running into the summer until the new show debuts in the fall.

The new show will be an additional fifth live hour of Breakfast Television airing from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Citytv promises more details will be announced in the coming months, with the live format allowing for more flexibility in producing and delivering lifestyle content.

Canadians have been reacting online to the news with mixed emotions, with many expressing sadness over the end of Cityline but also excitement for Moore’s new venture. Fans have been sending messages of support and love to Moore as she prepares for this new chapter in her career.
