Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi Issues Warning to Israel During Visit to Pakistan

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi issued a stern warning to Israel during his three-day visit to Pakistan, stating that any attack on Iranian territory would lead to a radical change in dynamics and questioning the survival of the “Zionist regime.”

Speaking at Lahore University, Raisi emphasized the consequences of any aggression towards Iran, stating, “If the Zionist regime once again makes a mistake and attacks the sacred land of Iran, the situation will be different, and it is not clear whether anything will remain of this regime.”

Raisi referenced Iran’s recent counterstrike on Israel on April 13, in retaliation for an attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1. He highlighted that the Iranian nation punished the Zionist regime for its actions, which he deemed a violation of international laws.

The Iranian president also criticized the West for its stance on human rights, accusing the US and Western nations of supporting Israel’s actions in Gaza, where thousands of Palestinians have lost their lives. Raisi reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to defending the Palestinian cause and supporting the resistance against oppression.

In an effort to strengthen ties between Iran and Pakistan, Raisi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif signed eight agreements in Islamabad, including the establishment of a joint special economic zone. Both leaders also agreed to collaborate on counterterrorism efforts and combat terrorist organizations operating within their territories.

During a joint press briefing, Raisi stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral trade between Iran and Pakistan, aiming to reach $10 billion within the next three to four years. The visit and agreements signed mark a significant step towards rebuilding relations between the two nations after recent military confrontations.
