Brainerd Warriors Dominate Alexandria Cardinals in Central Lakes Conference Showdown

In a thrilling Central Lakes Conference showdown, the Brainerd Warriors showcased their offensive prowess as they defeated the Alexandria Cardinals 15-3 on Tuesday, April 23. Ruthie Owen led the charge for the Warriors, going 2-5 with a home run, four RBIs, and two runs.

The Warriors’ bats were on fire as Mya Tautges went 4-5 with two triples, three RBIs, and two runs, while Elsa Borchert contributed with a 2-6 performance that included a home run, three RBIs, and two runs scored. Maren Ceynowa and Joze Tautges also had solid performances at the plate.

On the defensive side, Mya Tautges started in the circle and struck out three over four innings, allowing only one hit and one walk. Joze Tautges pitched three innings of relief, allowing three runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out three.

With this victory, Brainerd improved to 4-0 in the conference and 8-0 overall. The team’s dominance was evident with key performances from multiple players, showcasing their depth and talent.

The Warriors’ next challenge will be against Sartell on Thursday, April 25 at 4 p.m. at home. With their undefeated record on the line, the Warriors are sure to bring their A-game as they continue their quest for conference supremacy.
