“Syracuse Vocal Ensemble to Perform ‘Kid’s Stuff’ Concert at Earlville Opera House”

The Earlville Opera House is set to host a special concert by The Syracuse Vocal Ensemble on Sunday, April 28 at 3 p.m. The ensemble will be presenting their “Kid’s Stuff” concert, featuring choral music set to the texts of beloved children’s literature such as “Mother Goose” and “Goodnight Moon”.

The concert will showcase works by renowned composers René Clausen and Eric Whitacre, as well as a commissioned piece by Megan Hook. To enhance the experience, actors Susan and Michael Barbour will be reading the texts before each piece is performed.

Audience members are invited to revisit their favorite childhood stories and share the magic of these texts with their families. Tickets for the concert are $15 for adults, $10 for students 17 and under, and college students with ID can enjoy half-off general admission.

In addition to the concert, attendees can explore the Earlville Opera House’s Artisan Gift Shop and three galleries, which are always free and open to the public. The historic Opera House, located at 18 East Main Street in Earlville, NY, has been upgraded for accessibility, including a hearing loop system in the 1892 theater.

The event is made possible with support from the Office of the Governor and NYS Legislature, administered by the New York State Council on the Arts, as well as the generosity of EOH members. Don’t miss this enchanting musical experience at the Earlville Opera House!
