Art Events in Helena: Chromadepth Painting, Music at Speakeasy 41, Science of Bikes Exhibit, and More!
The Holter Museum of Art is offering a unique painting experience with their upcoming Chromadepth painting class on Saturday, June 1. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own paintings using specialty paint and a bluelight, which will give their artwork a 3D effect when viewed through Chromadepth glasses. The class promises a fun and interactive experience that brings art to life in a new dimension.
The cost for the class is $45 for members and $55 for nonmembers. Those interested can sign up and learn more on the museum’s website at holtermuseum.org.
In addition to the painting class, there are other exciting events happening in the Helena community. Beat Deaf, a local rock band, will be performing at Speakeasy 41 on Friday, May 24. The trio, who have been playing together for over seven years, have released two albums and are sure to put on a great show.
ExplorationWorks will also be opening a new exhibit titled “Gear Up: The Science of Bikes” on Saturday, May 25. The exhibit will explore the scientific principles and material sciences behind bicycles, tracing their evolution through history and examining their cultural impact.
Lastly, Grandstreet Theatre is holding auditions for their upcoming shows “The Woman in Black” and “Moriarty, A New Sherlock Holmes Adventure.” Auditions will take place on June 2 and 3, and no experience is necessary to audition.
