Fatal Shooting in South San Jose: Male Victim Found Dead on Blossom River Way
The city of San Jose is reeling from its 15th homicide of the year, as police investigate the death of a male victim found with a gunshot wound in an apartment complex near a popular shopping mall.
The tragic incident took place on the 1000 block of Blossom River Way in south San Jose, just steps away from the bustling Westfield Oakridge shopping center. San Jose police responded to a report of a shooting on May 26 at 2:45 p.m., arriving at the apartment complex to find the victim unresponsive and in critical condition.
Despite the efforts of officers to administer life-saving measures, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released, as authorities work to notify next-of-kin.
