Arrest made in San Ramon freeway shooting without injuries
Suspect Arrested in Non-Injury Shooting on Interstate 680
A 42-year-old Foresthill resident was arrested on Sunday after a non-injury shooting on Interstate 680 in San Ramon. The suspect was booked on suspicion of attempted murder and weapons crimes and is being held on $920,000 bail. The shooting occurred north of Alcosta Boulevard, but the motive remains unclear. Fortunately, no one in the other vehicle was harmed. The California Highway Patrol launched an investigation after receiving a 911 call and quickly apprehended the suspect with the help of the San Ramon Police Department. A firearm was recovered from the suspect’s vehicle. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the CHP Dublin Area office.
