Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs: The rapper faces new allegations – here’s how he’s responding

Allegations of Sexual Assault and Abuse Against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs

Rapper and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing multiple civil lawsuits accusing him of sex trafficking, sexual abuse, and rape. The allegations against Combs date back to the 1990s when he founded his record label, Bad Boy Records. The lawsuits include claims from singer and dancer Cassie Ventura, producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, former model Crystal McKinney, and student April Lampros.

Surveillance footage from a hotel in Los Angeles in March 2016 showed Combs chasing Ventura down a hallway before attacking her. Combs later shared an apology video on Instagram, acknowledging his behavior as “inexcusable” and taking full responsibility for his actions.

Combs has denied all the allegations against him and vowed to fight for his name and family. His attorneys have called the lawsuits baseless and money grabs. Despite the denials, Combs settled the lawsuit with Ventura for an undisclosed amount of money.

The allegations against Combs were brought under the New York Adult Survivors Act, which provided a one-year window for adult victims of sexual assault to come forward with civil claims regardless of the statute of limitations. More than 2,500 cases were filed under the act, including lawsuits against other powerful men in entertainment.

Combs’ response to the allegations has been strong, with his lawyers calling the claims pure fiction and promising to address them in court. The rapper has expressed regret for his actions and apologized for the harm caused to his accusers. The legal battle surrounding the allegations against Combs continues as more women come forward with their stories.
