Diddy Accused of Sexual Assault in New Lawsuit: Former Model Alleges Assault at Recording Studio in 2003
The latest accusation against hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has surfaced, with former model Crystal McKinney filing a lawsuit alleging that Combs sexually assaulted her at his New York City recording studio in 2003. McKinney, who was 22 at the time, claims she was invited to the studio by Combs after meeting him at a restaurant during Men’s Fashion Week in Manhattan.
According to the lawsuit, McKinney arrived at the studio to find Combs and several other men drinking and smoking joints. She smoked marijuana that was allegedly laced with a narcotic or intoxicating substance, causing her to feel disoriented. Combs then led her to the bathroom where the assault took place, and McKinney later woke up in a taxi realizing she had been sexually assaulted.
Combs’ representatives have not yet responded to the allegations. The lawsuit comes on the heels of a recent incident where security footage showed Combs attacking singer Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway in 2016. Combs released a video apologizing for the incident, but he is not facing criminal charges due to the statute of limitations.
The lawsuit filed by McKinney is part of a series of legal troubles for Combs, including a federal criminal sex-trafficking investigation and multiple lawsuits alleging abuse and assault. The claim was filed under a New York City law that allows accusers to seek civil litigation even for events that occurred long ago.
The embattled hip-hop mogul continues to face scrutiny and legal challenges as more allegations come to light.
