The exclusive surveillance video obtained by CNN shows shocking footage of Sean “Diddy” Combs engaging in physical violence towards his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a now-settled federal lawsuit. The incident, which took place in 2016 at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, captures Combs grabbing, shoving, dragging, and kicking Ventura in a disturbing altercation.
The video, compiled from multiple camera angles, shows Combs aggressively confronting Ventura in a hallway, throwing her to the floor, kicking her while she’s down, and even throwing objects towards her. Ventura is seen trying to gather her belongings and escape the situation, while Combs continues to exhibit violent behavior towards her.
Ventura, who reached an undisclosed settlement with Combs, has chosen not to comment on the video. Her attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, expressed deep concern over the footage, highlighting the disturbing and predatory behavior exhibited by Combs.
Despite Combs denying Ventura’s allegations, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has issued a statement expressing their distress over the video. While the LAPD is aware of the video, they do not have an open investigation involving Combs at this time.
The lawsuit filed by Ventura also included allegations of rape and repeated physical abuse by Combs. The settlement of the lawsuit does not imply an admission of wrongdoing, according to Combs’ attorney Ben Brafman.
Since the incident, Combs has faced multiple civil lawsuits accusing him of sexual misconduct and other illegal activities. Authorities conducted searches at his homes in California and Florida as part of a federal investigation related to these allegations.
