Top High School Basketball Players in Illinois for the 2021-2022 Season

Illinois high school basketball season has come to a close, and the standout players have been recognized for their exceptional performances on the court. Among the top players in the state, a few names stand out for their impressive stats and contributions to their teams.

Hank Alvey from Illini Bluffs, a Lehigh-bound senior with a 4.0 GPA, showcased his skills by averaging 18.1 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.9 blocks, and 2.7 assists per game for the 33-win Tigers. Nick Allen from Bradley-Bourbonnais, a 6-10 junior center, dominated the court with 19 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks per game, drawing attention from the Missouri Valley Conference in his recruitment.

Angelo Ciaravino from Chicago Mount Carmel, a future Northwestern wing, led his team to a Class 3A runner-up state finish with an average of 21 points, five rebounds, and two assists per game. Stefan Cicic from Riverside-Brookfield, a 7-0 senior center, made a case as one of the top uncommitted seniors in the state with 19 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks per game.

Jaxson Davis, a freshman guard from Gurnee Warren, made a significant impact by averaging 19.5 points, 5.3 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.5 steals per game, earning an offer from Illinois. Carlos Harris III from Curie, a 6-2 senior guard, showcased his versatility with 14 points, six assists, five rebounds, and two steals per game.

These players, along with others on the first and second teams, have left a lasting impression on the Illinois high school basketball scene with their exceptional performances and skills. As they continue their basketball journeys, their talent and dedication are sure to make a mark in the world of basketball.
