Kawhi Leonard Returns as Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving Lead Mavericks to 96-93 Victory, Tying Series against Clippers

Mavericks Beat Clippers 96-93 to Tie Playoff Series at 1-1

The Dallas Mavericks pulled off a stunning victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 2 of their Western Conference first-round playoff series, tying the matchup at one game apiece. Luka Doncic led the charge with 32 points, while Kyrie Irving added 23 points to secure the win.

The game marked the return of Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard, who had been sidelined since March 31 due to inflammation in his surgically repaired right knee. Leonard contributed 15 points and seven rebounds in his first game back, but it wasn’t enough to lift the Clippers to victory.

Despite trailing by seven points in the third quarter, the Clippers mounted a comeback to take a narrow lead heading into the fourth. However, the Mavericks responded with a 14-0 run to regain control of the game, ultimately securing a 96-93 win.

In addition to Doncic and Irving’s strong performances, P.J. Washington Jr. chipped in with 18 points for the Mavericks. Paul George and James Harden led the Clippers with 22 points each, but the team struggled with poor shooting throughout the game.

The series now shifts to Dallas for Game 3 on Friday, where both teams will look to gain the upper hand in what promises to be a tightly contested matchup. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting playoff series.
